The National Museum of Korea appointed Sohn Pum soo & Chin Yang hye as the new Public Relations Ambassadors of the museum. Sohn & Chin are well-known broadcaster couple, who started their careers as KBS TV announcers since 1990s and continued to build up successful career paths until today.

The couple has been chosen not only because of their active social activities, but also their close relationship with the museum as long-time residents of Ichon-dong, where the museum is located. Particularly Chin has shown keen interest in NMK and regularly visits the museum together with children. Director-General, Choe Kwang-shik said the new public relations ambassadors are expected to attract more family groups to visit the NMK.

The appointment ceremony took place at the Great Hall of NMK on July 15, 2010, followed by the special event in celebration of passing 100,000 visitors for the Special Exhibition, Gods, Heroes and Mortals: Art and Life in Ancient Greece. The new public relations ambassadors attended the event in company with Director-General and Ahmet Sahin (the Korea Rep. of Turkish Airline) to welcome the 100,000^th visitor with special prize - 2 round trip tickets to Greece, sponsored by the Turkish Airline.
