Gilt-silver Sarira Urn with Incised Bird and Flower Design

This small gilt-silver sarira reliquary is incised on three sides with a design of two birds facing one another with a flower in the middle. Three legs were once attached to the bottom, suggesting that the reliquary may have originally been produced as a tripod incense burner. It was excavated from the site of Hwangnyongsa Temple in Gyeongju.
