Maebyeong, Vase with Cranes and Clouds
This is a maebyeong (prunus vase) with a matching lid. While most celadon maebyeong of the Goryeo Dynasty originally had lids, it is rare to find an example with the lid fully preserved. Both the body and lid are decorated with inlaid designs of cranes and clouds. Their spacious arrangement evokes a serene scene of cranes flying leisurely across the sky.
