Brick with dedicatory inscription of Adad-shuma-usur

Fragmentary Kassite brick stamped with an inscription of the ruler Adad-shuma-usur, which describes his contributions to rebuilding the Ekur, the temple of the chief god Enlil in the city of Nippur. The text is written in the long dead Sumerian language with archaizing cuneiform signs, a fitting choice for the sacred space it commemorates.
