Buncheong Ware and White Porcelain Gallery

A janggun, or a barrel-shaped vessel, is a type of pottery common in buncheong ware and white porcelain from the early Joseon period. The center of the end piece here is decorated with a sgraffito petal design and a modified lotus flower design created by applying white slip on the body with a brush and then scratching away the background while leaving the design untouched. One side of the body features fish and peony leaf designs, while the other shows only a peony leaf design
