This ewer reflects the form of a bamboo shoot, which was often used as a motif in the production of celadon vessels. Its body, spout and handle form a perfectly harmonious, beautiful whole. The entire surface of the piece is evenly coated with a jade-colored glaze, but is otherwise free from extraneous decoration, making it a masterpiece of celadon.
