Gogeum unhoe geoyo (Condensed Version of Ancient and Modern Collection of Rhymes, Gujin yunhui juyao in Chinese) was originally compiled by Huang Gongshao of the Ming Dynasty and supplemented and annotated by Tai Zhong of the Song Dynasty. This 30-volume work of phonology was published by Gyeongju-bu and Miryang-bu at the instruction of the Governor of Gyeongsang-do Shin In-son (1384-1445), in 1434 (the 16th year of King Sejong’s reign). It was printed based on the edition published in the Yuan Dynasty. The quality of the printing is very good. It became the basis of Dongguk jeongun (Standard Rhymes of the Eastern State), which was completed in 1447 (the 29th year of King Sejong’s reign).
