This book contains the Avatamsaka Sutra (The Flower Garland Sutra), translated by Sikshananda (652-710) of the Tang Dynasty and commentaries by Monk Jingyuan of the Song Dynasty. It was printed with the woodblock that Monk Uicheon (a.k.a. State Preceptor Daegak, 1055-1101) received from Monk Jingyuan in 1087 (the 4th year of the reign of King Seonjong of the Goryeo Dynasty) during his visit to Song China.
