This type of bronze hill censer was common during the Han Dynasty of China. Its mountain-shaped body lies on top of a one-legged support. Unearthed from Tomb No. 219 in Seogam-ri, Pyongyang, this work of art is believed to have been created in the late 1st century BCE, based on the construction date of the ancient tombs at this site. On its lid, there is not much overlapping of mountains and mountain peaks are briefly described. Two rows of round and triangular holes for emitting smoke are situated below the lid.
