Each temple has a Sacheonwangmun, or Gate of the Four Guardian Kings, who are held to be the guardians of the Dharma. The kings trample on demons groaning with pain. It shows that the kings protect the temple and dominate demons who trespass upon the temple. The demon portrayed here has a horn-shaped head and is lying down with knees bent.
