Helmet and Plate Armor
This helmet and plate armor, discovered in Jisan-dong Tomb 32 in Goryeong, is an example of early plate armor, wherein wide and narrow rectangular plates were shaped to fit the wearer’s body and connected horizontally with rivets. The helmet is shaped like a peach pit, with a long extension in the back to cover the neck. Another piece of shoulder armor was also found, thereby demonstrating the pinnacle of Gaya armor technology.
