Yeolha Ilgi, or Yeolha Diary, is a travelogue by Park Jiwon, a famed writer and philosopher of the Joseon period, which was included in Yeonamjip (Collected Works of Park Jiwon). In 1780, Park traveled to China with his cousin Park Myeongwon, who was part of a diplomatic mission to congratulate the Qing Emperor Qianlong on his seventieth birthday. The envoy traveled towards Beijing and the emperor’s summer resort in Rehe (present-day Chengde, Hebei Province), northeast of Beijing.
