After the passing of Queen Inhyeon from illness in 1701, King Sukjong married Queen Inwon in 1702, which was his third marriage. This Uigwe describes how the six rituals (yungnye) were conducted following the final selection of the queen. In particular, it was from this Uigwe that the detailed procedures for the queen to enter the palace following the king's performance of the welcoming ceremony for the bride in the separate palace were established and included in the Uigwe.
