This work features butterflies and pink-tinted Chinese roses on fine silk. A tiger swallowtail butterfly is flying between the roses extending diagonally from the lower-left section of the composition. A cabbage butterfly is sitting on a rose to the right. The wings of the butterflies are portrayed realistically, presumably based on direct observation in the tradition of Nam Gyeu.
