Cups and Stands

These two cups with respectively a foliated and round rim comprise a pair with a convex stand. Vessels of this type were also made in metalware at the time. During the Goryeo Dynasty, the practice of drinking alcohol developed into various ceremonies, banquets, and social gatherings. It is presumed that these celadon cups with matching stands were used for serving alcohol.
