Covered box with Lotus Petal, Celadon with incised design
Given that this vessel was recovered from the Seongpungsa Temple
site in Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do Province together with a stupa
record inscribed with the year 1009, it presumed to have been used
as a reliquary for holding the sarira of monks or at rituals performed
at the temple.
