This is a white porcelain jar with a design of a dragon chasing a cintamani executed with delicate brush strokes in cobalt-blue underglaze. Though smaller in size compared to other white porcelain jars with a dragon design, this is a rare seventeenth-century example with cobalt designs since most jars of this kind were produced at the time using iron-brown underglaze.
