Flattened Bottle with Bamboo, White porcelain painted in underglaze iron-brown
White porcelain flattened bottles began to be produced during the Joseon Dynasty. Those from the official court kilns usually lacked decoration. In the seventeenth century, however, white-porcelain flattened bottles began to be adorned with motifs such as bamboo, chrysanthemums, and grapes in iron-brown underglaze.
