Homage to Choi Sunu
“Choi Sunu’s Favorite” is a program that pays tribute to Choi Sunu (1916-1984), the art historian who dedicated his entire life to discovering and promoting the beauty of Korean cultural treasures and fostering the museum. By presenting works that Choi had cherished, together with his writings, the program allows visitors to understand his thoughts and affection for Korean cultural heritage. We hope that visitors will enjoy and appreciate the beauty of Korea that Choi Sunu had discovered in our collection and gain a deeper understanding of the allure of Korean art and culture by viewing his favorites across the nine permanent galleries.
