Shedding new light upon Korean Studies, the National Museum of Korea offers its first annual fellowship program that promotes an advancement of the Korean studies. The program seeks enthusiastic scholars who are currently PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers outside of
NMK 2012 Fellowship seeks to generate discussion on Korean studies through various lectures, presentations, and site visits. The fellows will be asked to prepare a presentation during the program and to submit an individual research papers (including published) after their fellowship term.

Lectures
- Director’s Introduction
- History of Korea & Archaeology of Korea
- Metal Crafts of Korea & Architecture of Korea
- Handling Relics & Buddhist Art of Korea
- Paintings of Korea & Ceramics of Korea
Site Visits
- Various Museums in Korea (National, Public, Private)
- Excavation Sites
- Historic Monuments
- Cultural Studies
SELECTION PROCESS
NMK 2012 Fellowship, held for the first time at the National Museum of Korea, welcomes the submission of recommendations from museum professional and academics. Final participants will be notified by April, 2012.
