International Symposium on
Exhibiting Asian Art: Issues and Perspectives

The National Museum of Korea organizes a symposium on the history of Asian art exhibitions worldwide, which will provide an opportunity to reconsider the significance of ‘Asian art exhibitions’ and the discipline of ‘Asian art history’ in the US, Europe, China, Korea and Japan. The formation of Asian art collections, opening of museums and galleries in relation, major Asian art exhibitions and their social and cultural context will be discussed during the session.
