2024 NMK Museum Network Fellowship

National Museum of Korea (NMK) invites museum professionals in the field of Korean and Asian culture to the 2024 NMK Museum Network Fellowship. We look forward to your interest and participation. Please find attached files for detailed information.

□ Introduction

- Purpose: to promote exhibitions and programs regarding Korea at museums around the world by providing museum professionals outside Korea with the opportunities to develop skills and knowledge and to network with experts in Korea

- Participants: around five (5) museum professionals managing projects on Korea and Asia

- Period: May 27, 2024 - June 6, 2024

- Venue: NMK, museums, institutions and archaeological sites (TBC)

- Program: Round tables, Networkshops, Consultations and Visits (TBC)

- Benefit: round-trip airfare (economy class), accommodations and regional tour expenses during the Fellowship program

□ Eligibility

- Professionals employed by museums or other related institutions and independent museum professionals in the field of Korean and Asian culture based outside Korea

- Those who majored in Korean or Asian archaeology, history, art, culture, etc. or those who are in charge of managing projects in the field

- Those who have experiences of conducting projects or research concerning Korea in the last five years or those who have plans for projects and research about Korea in the next two years

- Those who can participate in the whole program in English

□ Responsibilities of Participants

- Active participation in the whole Fellowship program including Round Table I and II

- Active participation, collaboration and cooperation with NMK in the future

□ Required Documents and Application

- Required documents: Application Form (attached), CV, and proof documents for each detail stated in the application form

- Application: All documents should be submitted by 17 March, 2024 (UTC+9) to kimseulah94@korea.kr

□ Participant Selection and Result Announcement

 - All applicants will be reviewed. The selected candidates will be notified individually and announced on the website on 22 March (TBC).
