Landscape
This is reportedly a landscape painted by Yi Jing, who was an artist from the royal family of Joseon dynasty. This piece references Ahn Gyeon school style. Even though a vivid bluish green color was used within this piece, the strokes stand out due to their kaleidoscopic shape. In this piece, the peaceful lifestyles of people are portrayed, from someone boating along the river, reading inside a hay hut, to greeting neighbors while crossing a bridge. The river is painted in a one point perspective that spreads outward, which was a typical way of painting during the 15th-16th century of Joseon dynasty.
