Silver Cosmetics Containers from the Tomb of Princess Suksin

Silver Cosmetics Containers from the Tomb of Princess Suksin
Princess Suksin was the eldest daughter of King Hyojong, the seventeenth king of the Joseon Dynasty. When King Hyojong was taken hostage as the result of the Second Manchu Invasion of Korea, the princess accompanied her father to Shenyang, China, where she died of an illness. These two small containers were found inside her tomb. One of them is decorated with a design of a Taoist immortal, while the other one, which still contained some white cosmetic powder, has a fruit design.
