This yellow brown-glazed jar was used as a burial urn during the Unified Silla Period. The lid has a knob shape like a “jewel bead,” with its sharp top, and is shaped like flames at the top and both sides. The bottom of this long-necked jar has a short heel, and carved patterns of double-layered circles and diagonal lines inside a triangle adorn the jar’s neck and shoulder. The urn is presumed to have been a first-rate product used exclusively by the privileged.
