This large statue of a cross-legged Buddha features a slightly bent forward body, and a head and upper body that are disproportionately larger than the lower body. The Buddha is dressed in a dharma robe draped across both shoulders, and forms a symbolic hand gesture made by touching the tips of his thumb and middle finger. The statue also signs that the arms were made separately before being fixed into the body; and it has a hole on its back with a matching plug which was used to store secret offerings to Buddha.
