This iron cooking stove was excavated from a Goguryeo stone chamber tomb in Yongho-dong, Dongsin-myeon, Unsan-gun, Pyeonganbuk-do. It was made in a cast style, and its overall shape resembles a miniature copy of the iron stove depicted in the kitchen mural found in Anak Tomb No. 3. The furnace and chimney were not erected in a straight line, but rather were uniquely installed by the side. The earthen furnace of the same shape was also excavated in Tonggou, China. This furnace is sometimes presumed to have been used for practical purposes, but is more generally regarded as a funerary object for the dead to use in the afterlife.
