This moon jar, a type of vessel which enjoyed great popularity during the mid-Joseon period, is decorated with a cloud and dragon design painted in cobalt blue underglaze. The dragon appears to be coiling itself around the entire body of the jar while making its way through clouds. The elaborate depiction of the details, the charming shading effect and the evenly glazed milky body make this jar a fine work of art.
