International Symposium in Celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the Korea-Mongolia Joint Project

This international symposium was held in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Korea-Mongolia Project, a joint academic project between Korea and Mongolia. The symposium was co-hosted by the National Museum of Korea, the Institute of Archaeology at the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, and the National Museum of Mongolia, at the Scientific Information Center in Ulaanbataar, Mongolia, on May 29 and 30, 2008. In this symposium, various speakers introduced their recent research findings on Xiongnu. The topics included 10 years of the Korea-Mongolia Project, an overview on the excavation and investigation of Xiongnu ruins, a comparison of the Xiongnu and Lelang tombs, Mandarin tombs, and Xiongnu culture and castle ruins.
