Stamps made of bronze and celadon

Excavated in the capital city of Gaeseong, these bronze and celadon stamps were presumed to have been used by government officials. Their handles are in shapes of animals such as a lion, monkey, fish, or bird. The celadon stamps appear to have been modelled after the bronze stamps. Most of the bronze stamps had a hole, which suggests that these stamps were carried on a string attached through the hole. The base of each stamp is inscribed with letters along with popular patterns of the time or a symbol of authority.
