Buddhist Divine Guardians are deities that originated in ancient Indian gods and were later incorporated into Buddhism and seen as protecting Buddhist Law and its practitioners. Brahma and his partner Indra are standing side by side in the upper part of the painting while the heavenly goddess and the gods of heaven stand around them. Around Karttikeya in the lower part, armed gods under his influence are standing in a line.
