Liaoning-type bronze daggers such as these are also referred to as Chinese lute-shaped bronze daggers or Gojoseon-type bronze daggers. They are generally found in Liaoning or Jilin, China or on the Korean Peninsula. The handles of these bronze daggers are said to have been found in Sinchon, Hwanghae-do. The part near the handle is narrow and the protruded parts in the middle of the blade are not conspicuous, distinguishing them from typical Liaoning-type bronze daggers. As such, they are presumed to have been made much later than other similar daggers. The “T”-shaped bronze handle contains a lightning pattern. As the handles of Liaoning-type bronze daggers have rarely been found on the Korean Peninsula, these artifacts are rare and important materials of great value.
