These records collected by O Gyeong-won (1764-?) concern the country’s relations with the Ming Dynasty of China between the end of the Goryeo Dynasty and the early Joseon Dynasty. Originally published in 1830, this is the edition of 1868 (the 5th year of King Gojong’s reign). It contains information on such matters as the diplomatic relations between Joseon and Ming and the list of Ming military commanders dispatched to Joseon to help it in its war against Japan during the late 16th century.
