This is one of the gilt-bronze Buddha statues found at the stone pagoda of Sujongsa Temple. The Bhaisajyaguru Buddha sits in the lotus position with both hands resting on the legs, holding a medicine bowl. The statue’s upper body bends slightly forward - a shared feature of the Buddha statues discovered at Sujongsa Temple.
