These are Korean-type bronze daggers excavated from the archaeological site in Goejeong-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon. The body and handle of the Korean-type bronze daggers were separately made, as were Liaoning-type bronze daggers. Compared to the Liaoning-type, however, its body was straighter, and the indentation in the middle was sharpened to form joints. Along with the findings at the archaeological sites in Namseong-ri, Asan, and Dongseo-ri, Yesan, the relics excavated from Goejeong-dong, including these Korean-type bronze daggers, show characteristic aspects of the period in which the Korean-type bronze dagger culture was established in the southwestern part of the Korean Peninsula.
