This silver cosmetic case was unearthed from the Tomb of Princess Suksin, the first daughter of King Hyojong of the Joseon Dynasty. The traces of facial powder remaining inside the case reveal its function. The top of the lid is carved with a crane flying above clouds with wings outstretched, while bead patterns are carved as the backdrop. The body of the jar contains designs featuring pomegranates, peaches, and permissions.
