This mirror rack has been lavishly decorated using a variety of techniques including hammering and pressing, incising, and gilding. The wooden pieces forming the structure are covered with gilt silver plate and decorated with an incised peony and scroll design, while a peony-shaped hook is attached to the top of the stand to enable it to be hung from a wall or other surface.
