This painting is a replica of a mural painted on the wall in the eastern antechamber of the Gamsinchong Tomb in Nampo, Pyeongannam-do. The main figure in the painting, who is believed to be the grave’s occupant, is seated on a wooden platform, wearing black headwear and a purple robe, with both hands clasped inside the sleeves and placed on his chest. The main figure’s attendants and those around him are depicted smaller than him according to the difference in their ranks in the social hierarchy rather than because of a failure of perspective or proportion.
