This inscribed image of the Willow Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is lightly holding a willow branch in his left hand and a kundika in his right hand. Avalokitesvara is the Bodhisattva of mercy who saves people when they simply call out his name in times of trouble. The image represents the belief in the Willow Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, who cures people’s illnesses using a willow branch and pure water.
