The back of this thin bronze mirror features a relief scrollwork design. The words “Goryeo gukjo (高麗國造, ‘Made in Goryeo’) are inscribed within a rectangular frame on the center bottom of the mirror, indicating that it was produced in Goryeo and hence that it may have been intended for export to China.
