The National Museum of Korea is pleased to present Great Cultural Heritage: Masterpieces from the Bequest of the Late Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee to share with the public the mass of Korea’s cultural heritage that Lee had collected and secured with such great devotion and passion.

On display is a selection of major works from different genres. They include national treasures recognized as demonstrating the apex of Korean cultural heritage, such as Inwang jesaekdo (Scene of Inwangsan Mountain after Rain) by Jeong Seon (1676-1759, sobriquet: Gyeomjae), the master of “true-view” landscape paintings from the Joseon Dynasty. We would like to invite our viewers to the exhibition and celebrate the late Chairman Lee Kun-hee’s commitment to the collection and preservation of Korean art.
