The Museum of Fine Arts Houston (MFAH), the first museum in the Southwestern United States to open and operate a Korean art gallery since 2007, has reinstalled and re-opened its Arts of Korea gallery to the public on March 28^th, 2012. For this presentation, the NMK loaned out 41 pieces of relics, such as Seated Amitabha Buddha and other buddhist figurative sculptures, Goryeo celadon, and buncheong ware (pale blue-green ceramic with white slip), representing some 5,000 years of visual tradition in Korea.
