| Details | The Museum of Fine Arts Houston (MFAH), the first museum in the Southwestern United States to open and operate a Korean art gallery since 2007, has reinstalled and re-opened its Arts of Korea gallery to the public on March 28th, 2012. For this presentation, the NMK loaned out 41 pieces of relics, such as Seated Amitabha Buddha and other buddhist figurative sculptures, Goryeo celadon, and buncheong ware (pale blue-green ceramic with white slip), representing some 5,000 years of visual tradition in Korea. |
