The number of visitors to the NMK topped 20 million on August 7, 2012, since its relocation to Yongsan in October, 2005. The lucky 20 millionth visitor was Ms. Um Ji-yeon, who came with her children.
 Director Kim Youngna of the Museum presented her with a reproduction of white porcelain (National Treasure No. 1437), a copy of NMK catalog, and tickets to Jeju Island that was sponsored by Korean air.
