Kaneko Kazushige collection showcases 80 works out of 1.035 pieces of cultural assets from various Asian countries donated by Kaneko Kazushige, the president of Asian People’s Creative Art Research institute in Japan, These cultural assets are precious resources
collected from 30 Asian Countries by the president Kaneko Kazushige for the past 40 years or so. Kaneko Kazushige’s collection is organized by a range of artifacts such as Southeast Asia’s splendid Buddhist cultural properties including Buddhist statues and paintings,
scripture boxes, etc. wooden lacquer wares, earthwares, ceramics, wooden, costumes, textiles, etc. to explore living cultures of various Asian countries. Sir Kaneko Kazushige decided to donate to the museum so as to repay what Japan in the past received from Korea and to
contribute to the formation of closer ties between Korea and Japan.
