Yuan dynasty to mark a cornerstone in the development of new culture and science and technology. Furthermore, the era prepared the legacy of metal type print, as shown in the invention of the oldest extant metal type printing in the world, “Baegun Hwasang Chorok Buljo
jikji simche yojeol” (The 3rd year of the rule of King Wo. 1377). In the middle of the 14th century, King Gongmin successfully proceeded the anti-Yuan policy, taking advantage of the declining Yuan Dynasty, while actively seeking to lead a land system reform. However, he failed
due to the lack of supporting power. However, some radical new power such as Jeong,Do-jeon who had grown with King Gongmin’s Neo-Confucianism policies cooperated with Lee, Seong-gye who seized power with Wihwado troop withdrawal and carried out extensive
land system reform (the 3rd year of King Gongyang, 1391), succeeding to secure a cause to opening a new dynasty.
